Mandarins
The mandarin program is structured around three varieties that overlap to cover the full Egyptian export window. Fremont opens the season in December with deep-orange colour and a slightly tart finish. Minneola, a tangelo cross with the distinctive neck, takes over in mid-winter, juicy and aromatic. Murcott (sometimes spelled Marcott) closes the season in February to April: very sweet, intensely aromatic, popular in EU supermarket private-label programs. All three are easy-peel, retail-ready in 8 kg cartons.
